Yet-Y-Gors, Coarse Fishing

Coarse Lake

COARSE FISHING

A choice of two beautifully matured coarse lakes, the first is adjacent to the fishery carpark, the second lake is a short scenic walk over a bridge towards the fly lakes. Both lakes are well stocked with Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Grass / Mirror / Common Carp and Koi Carp. We have a photograph of a Catfish caught about 7 years ago however it has not been caught since, I have been told at least 2 Catfish were originally put in the lake.

Baits used by regular anglers are Sweetcorn, Luncheon Meat, Worms, Bread including floating crust, Boillies, and Pellets all of which aew available from our shop. We sometimes stock freah maggots through the summer months & always stock artificial maggots,

All the lakes are open on day tickets from 6am to dusk in the summer, 8am to dusk in the winter. 24 hour tickets are available for night fishing. Open 7 days a week all year round.

Grass Carp

The picture on the right shows Sharon Jones from Swansea with an 18lb Grass Carp, the largest Grass Carp we have seen was 28lb but the grassies are very difficult to catch and are normally only caught early morning or late evening on floating baits. The largest Common Carp we have seen is 22lb. We do believe both these records could be broken but as yet they both stand.
